About Us

Whippoorwill Gardens was established in 2012 when Mark and Laura decided to grow over a thousand tomato plants in addition to squash, okra, peppers, corn, watermelons, and herbs.  That was a crazy fun year of gardening, farmers markets, and honing our gardening skills.

We are now focusing on breeding tomatoes and peppers, expanding our farm facilities, and building a homestead.  This blog is here to document the process, and we hope that you enjoy reading!
